Most companies order their ID06 cards from identity and security company Nexus Group, and ventilation services company Gävle Ventilationsteknik AB is no exception. ” It’s super smooth to order ID06 cards from Nexus. I have been a customer for three years, ever since we first had to get ID06 cards,” says Pelle Berg, supervisor at Gävle Ventilationsteknik.
Three years ago, Berg’s then five-man strong company got a job requiring them to get ID06 cards to be able to enter a construction site.
“I searched google for a company to order the ID06 cards from, and Nexus was at the top. I didn’t have time to do any research – I just wanted to get the ID06 cards for our guys as soon as possible so we could start working,” he says.
“There have never been any problems”
Berg registered his company to create an ID06 account at Nexus, and could then start ordering ID06 cards in the Nexus ordering portal.
“Everything has worked really well during these three years. I have not had any reasons to look for another ID06 provider. You just surf to the Nexus website, log in and order – there have never been any problems.”
In February 2017, Berg joined forces with another company, and Gävle Ventilationsteknik AB was born.
Possible to have several purchasers
“After the merger, my colleague Henrik Ljung began ordering the ID06 cards. Nexus lets you have several purchasers, but since we only have ten employees, we think it’s enough for one person to handle it,” says Berg.
He does not know much about the ID06 system, and sees no need to learn more.
“We only have ID06 cards because we have to. I know ID06 exists because there is cheating in the industry, and that’s a shame. Up here in Gävle, I think there is much less cheating than in places like Stockholm, so it sometimes feels a bit unnecessary with ID06.”
“Great to be able to show the ID06 card”
However, Berg does not see the ID06 requirement as something particularly burdensome, as it is so easy to order ID06 cards from Nexus.
“And there are benefits as well. You don’t have to bring your ID06 card when you do jobs in private homes, but we bring it anyway. It’s great to be able to show it when you ring the door bell, so that you can easily prove who you are and why you’re there. This is actually a big advantage.”
The ID06 cards can also be used for door access, which Berg benefits from when working at the Swedish Transport Administration.
Nexus is an accredited ID06 provider
“They added my ID06 card to their systems so I can use it with their regular card reader at the doors.”
Berg knows that Nexus is an accredited ID06 provider, but more than that he has not bothered to find out during his three years as a customer.
“It’s really smooth to get our ID06 cards, and that’s enough. What else do I need to know?” says Berg.
